Saskatchewan Rush beat Vancouver Stealth 24-16, set franchise scoring record

The Saskatchewan Rush took home another national lacrosse win against Vancouver in Langley, B.C. on Saturday night.

The Saskatchewan Rush took home a win Saturday against the Vancouver Stealth, setting a new record for total goals scored for the franchise in the process.

Zack Greer and Curtis Knight each had five goalsto lead the Rush to a24-16 victory in National Lacrosse League action.

Ben McIntosh added four goals while Robert Church scored a hattrick for the Rush. Jeremy Thompson and Mark Matthews bothstruck twice with Riley Loewen, Adrian Sorichetti and Nik Bilicrounding out the attack.

Rhys Duch scored six goals and Joel McCready had five more forVancouver. Corey Small added two goals while Cliff Smith,Justin Salt and Jordan Durston also chipped in.

The team says the flurry ofscoring led to a new team record forgoals scored in a single game.

Tyler Carlson turned away 16-of-19 shots in 24:43 for the win in relief. Aaron Bold started for Saskatchewan and made 18 saves. Eric Penney took the loss after kicking out 25-of-39 shots in 42:55.Tyler Richards started in net and stopped 18 shots.

The Rush scored once on three power plays while Vancouver was 3 for 4.
