As of 7 a.m. CST on Sunday, May 3, Saskatoon drivers have one less bridge to use.

University Bridge has closed for repairs until the end of August.

However, some options for commuters still exist.

One pedestrian lane will remain open throughout the construction and a new weekend bus route is in place. Cyclists are also allowed, but the city says they have to dismount their bikes if passing a pedestrian in the same direction. Otherwise they must yield to pedestrians.

City transit's 200 bus will shuttle people from the University of Saskatchewan and downtown terminals on Saturdays and Sundays.
