Gun shots and a 2-vehicle crash: Regina police investigating

A vehicle with bullet holes and a driver who fled the scene of a crash have police in Regina trying to piece together what happened on Victoria Avenue near Francis Street Saturday afternoon.

A vehicle with bullet holes and a driver who fled the scene of a crash have police in Reginatrying to piece together what happened at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Francis Street Saturday afternoon.

According to police, officers were dispatched at 2:40 p.m. CST in response to a call about a collision and shots fired.

When they arrived at the scene, they found that two vehicles were involved in a crash and that one of the vehicles had been abandoned. There were no injuries.

As they probed further, police learned that the driver of the abandoned vehicle had fled the scene on foot.

They also found bullet holes in that vehicle.

There were no further details available and police said their investigation was ongoing.
