There's one week left until Thanksgiving, and even though Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Regina has lots of turkey, it still needs instant coffee, hot chocolate, travel mugs and pumpkin pie.

As part of its annual Thanksgiving meal, the soup and meal kitchen is asking for donations from the public to make sure it has a full menu for its own Thanksgiving feast on Friday this week, which starts at about 11:00 a.m. CST.

As of mid-afternoon on Monday, items still needed are pumpkin pies, bags of tossed salad and the charity's"Warm-up for Winter" mugs.

All donations can be dropped off at1836 Halifax St. between 11:00 am and 7:00 pm Mondayand Tuesday.Souls Harbour needs the items by end of the day onOct. 6 to be ready for Friday's meal.

It wants to have enough food donations to serve 750 people.

Katrina Robinson, who's with SoulsHarbour, says that she hopes one day the charitywil be out of business.

"It would be nice if services like ours weren't needed,if homelessness was solved. Butunfortunately, that's not the reality, so as long as we're needed, we'll be here," she said.
