Generous supporters of the Souls Harbour Rescue Mission in Regina have donated enough items to ensure a Thanksgiving dinner will be served Friday.

A campaign to collect 38 turkeys, 375 pounds of potatoes and more achieved success Thursday afternoon, according to tweets from Souls Harbour. That gives a host of volunteers enough time to prepare all the fixings for Friday's meal.

On the menu (among other things):

  • Turkey.
  • Mashed potatoes.
  • Squash/turnip/fall vegetables.
  • Stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce.
  • Pumpkin pie.

The campaign also collected donations of styrofoam cups and plates as well as plastic forks and knives, enough for 750 people.
