$50K rewards extended in Tamra Keepness case and 2010 triple murder

The Regina Police Service has extended $50,000 rewards in connection with two prominent cold cases.

Tamra Keepness was fivewhen she disappeared from her home in the city's Heritage area in July 2004.

The most extensive search of its kind ever was held, involving hundreds of police, volunteers, and other searchers, but no trace of her was ever found.

On Wednesday, the Regina Board of Police Commissioners agreed to extend the $50,000 reward for information leading to her whereabouts for another year.

Triple homicide from 2010 still unsolved

The board also voted to extend the reward in connection with the murders of three people five years ago.

Gray Nay Htoo, 31, his wife Maw Maw, 28, and their son Seven June Htoo, 2, were found dead in the family home on 323 Oakview Dr. on Aug. 6, 2010.

They were Karen refugees who had come to Regina after living in a Thailand refugee camp.

Police have yet to make an arrest in the case. They said they have conducted 200 interviews, many of which involved Karen-speaking people, using Karen translators who've been brought in to assist with the investigation.

At different points in the investigation there have been as many as 25 Regina Police Serviceinvestigators assigned, as well as numerous RCMP officers, the board was told.

Police are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the deaths.
