Tatiana Maslany, Saskatchewan actress, loses Emmy, causing Twitter outrage
Maslany nominated for outstanding lead actress in drama series, Viola Davis won award
Regina's Tatiana Maslany didn't get theearly birthday gift that fans had hoped forat the 67th Emmy Awards on Sunday from Los Angeles.
Maslany was nominated for outstanding lead actress in a drama series. The 29-year-old plays several characters in the TV show Orphan Black, which has completed three seasons.
How to Get Away with Murder actress Viola Davis edged out Maslany for the Emmy, becoming the first black woman to win the award in that category.
This likely isn't the last major award nomination for Maslany.The young actress turns 30 on Tuesday.
Maslany even showed off her comedic chops during the show:
