Vince Young's hopes of resurrecting his football career with the Saskatchewan Roughriders has hit another snag.

The hamstring injury he suffered at training camp last week is worse than originally thought.

"He's got a torn hamstring, and that's what he's doing right now is rehabbing a torn hamstring," said Ridershead coach Chris Jones following the training camp session in Saskatoon on Monday afternoon.

Young, a former NFL pro bowl quarterback, hasn't played in a game since 2011 and ishoping to jump start his career in the CFL at the age of 34.

Riders' head coach and general manager Chris Jones discussing Young's injury after practice on Monday in Saskatoon.

But perhaps it was age and length of time away from the game that caught up with Young on day nine of the Riders trainingcamp last week.

He pulled up lame after a running play.

It was quickly deemed serious enough to keep him out of the first pre-season game, but they didn't realize how serious it was until the weekend.

"When we did the MRI in Toronto the other day it was actually torn and a lot worse than we envisioned," said Jones.

It's now decision time for the Riders and Vince Young.

The teamcan put him on the injured list and not have to worry about him again until a month or so into the season, if Young himself wants to stick with it.

At this point, it would seem he does.

"He's a proud guy and he's going to meet it head on. He's in the training room doing everything the trainers ask him to do to try and get well and compete," said Jones.

In the meantime, the Riders move on with four quarterbacks in camp.

Kevin Glenn, who turned 38 on Monday, is the undisputed number one quarterback. He will see his first action this Friday in Vancouver.

Brandon Bridge may have moved into the secondspot after an impressive performance against the Blue Bombers last Saturday in the first pre-season game.

Bryan Bennett had a rough night and it may cost him the backup job.

Marquise Williams, who joined the Riders well into camp, is working hard to catch up.

He too was impressive in the brief time he had against the Bombers.
