"I think the very first thing that I would like to do today is to offer some heartfelt thank you on behalf of a very grateful province," Wall began.

"Obviously our thoughts and prayers are still with the families and the friends of those lost, but today we should also recognize and thank and acknowledge those who most assuredly prevented a greater loss."

Wall thanked the teachers and staff at the school, as well as first responders. He concluded with a message of hopeand a call for more government support.

"There are seeds of hope that have been planted even in this week. Momentum that was ongoing in this community already community leaders, teachers. There need be and can be more support from governments and together then all of that will represent seeds of hope."
