Woman dies in ATV accident in east-central Sask.

A woman is dead and a small child is injured after a crash involving a pickup truck and an all-terrain vehicle in east-central Saskatchewan.

Child, 7, flown to hospital with serious injuries

Fishing Lake First Nation is in east-central Saskatchewan, about 210 kilometres northeast of Regina.

It happened around 8 p.m. CSTMonday on the Fishing Lake First Nation, east of Wadena.

The woman who had been a passenger on the ATV died at the scene.

A child, 7, who had also been on the ATV, was flown to hospital with what was described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the pickup was notinjured.

Wadena RCMP were investigating late Monday night. They say alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Police haven't released the name orage of the woman who died.
