Woman's death a homicide, Regina police say

Police in Regina say a woman who was found dead in an industrial-commercial area Wednesday night was the victim of a homicide.

Police in Regina say a woman who was found deadin an industrial-commercial area Wednesday night was the victim of a homicide.

The body of21-year-old Kelly Goforthwas discoveredin the east back alleyof the 1700 block ofMcAraSt. east of the downtown around 7 p.m. CST.

Earlier, police received a call thatthere was a sick or injured person in the alley, which is in an industrial-commercial area.

When officerswent to investigate, they found the body.

The coroner has been called. Officers from the Regina police forensics and major crimes sections are investigating.

Police say it's the city's seventhhomicide of 2013.
