Would you like a bear with your bear claw? A snake flavoured latte?

Would you like a bear with your bear claw? A snake flavoured latte?

Believe it or not, the world of coffee and the animal kingdom have intersected more than you may have thought.

In honour of a stubborn goat that refused to leave a Saskatchewan Tim Hortons this week, we decided to dig through the archives and take a look for stories of caffeine-crazed animals.

Goat grande

The most recent case of an animal entering into a Tim Hortons happenedthis week in Saskatchewan.

A goat kept walking through the coffee shop's automatic front doors.

Eventually, the goat settled down and took a nap in front of the drive-through. Store employees stayed behind to make sure the goat was safe.

"One of them stayed with him to make sure he didn't get run over, and the other one called the cops and the RCMP," said store owner Camille Barzeele.

The goat was taken to a local animal hospital while its owners were contacted.

A baby moose calf managed to make its way into a Tim Hortons in Sudbury last year.

After its mother was killed by a car, the calf was rescued and loaded onto a truck.

Eventually, a video of the young calf was posted, showing it in a local coffee shop.

The calf's rescuer took it home with him to stay overnight before taking it to an animal shelter.

Snake surprise

A crew of hard-working employees were...surprised when a garter snake was thrown at them at a Saskatoon Tim Hortons last year.

Two young men got into an argument with the woman making their breakfast sandwich.

One of them reached into the other man's pocket, took out a live garter snake and threw it behind the counter.

The prank wasn't looked upon kindly by police, who charged both young men with mischief.

One of the men pleaded guilty and received a six month conditional discharge.

Bear claw

Happy Valley-Goose Bay resident Lisa Connors received a bit of a shock when she saw a bear in the back of a truck at her local Tim Hortons.

At first, Connors saw a Wildlife truck with what she thought was an empty cage on the back.

"And the cage starts moving, and then when I looked closer, we realized there was a bear in the back just rolling around and rolling around," said Connors. "And buddy got out to get his coffee and everything."

Connors was concerned that a bear would be taken to a coffee shop parking lot instead of immediately being released into the wild.

Newfoundland and Labrador's Department of Natural Resources said the bear was safely released and was in good condition.
