Does Saskatchewan need a seniors' advocate?

Replay the Saskatoon Morning live chat right now.

A Saskatchewan nursing home is in the news because of the living conditions of its residents. Staff members at the Santa Maria Citizens Home in Regina say short staffing is leading to poor care.

Some residents get a bath once every two weeks and sometimes they have to wear soiled bandages. The workers also say the quality of food is a concern.

In light of this story, do you think Saskatchewan needs a seniors advocate to make sure minimum standards of care for seniors is met?

B.C. became the first province to appoint a seniors advocate earlier this year. Is it time this province had one too?
