A big donation could go a long way to keep people at the Lighthouse shelter warm this Christmas.

Earlier this month, the shelter said it was facing a heating crisis:Two of the building's five aging boilers had shut down completely, and another had started leaking. The total cost to replace the two boilers was set at $84,000.

Now, Affinity Credit Union said it will match all donations towards buying new boilers, up to $42,000.

The affected boilers provide heat to 68 rooms and an office area.
