The new Mosaic Stadium is getting ready to rock.

According to its website, veteran metal band Guns N' Roses is set to play Regina on August 27.

The lineup will include founding members Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan.

Last week, billboards hinted that the band would be performing in the Queen City.

The $278-million, city-owned stadium had its first test-run on Oct. 1, when 16,500 ticket-holders gathered for a game between the University of Regina Rams and the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.

Tickets go on sale Dec. 9 at 9 a.m. The band will also be performing in Winnipeg and Edmonton.
