Inmate escapes Saskatoon correctional centre Saturday afternoon

Police are trying to track down an inmate who escaped from the Saskatoon Provincial Correctional Centre Saturday afternoon.

The Saskatoon Police Service said the inmate escaped around 2 p.m. CST.

In a release from the Ministry of Justice, the inmate Travis Clay Funk is described as34 years old, Caucasian, about six foot three, 210 pounds, with blue eyes and red hair.

Police saidit's possible that a gold-brown vehicle similar to a Cadillac Escalade SUV helped in the escape.
