Man sent to hospital after vehicle crashes into Saskatoon restaurant

A 19-year-old man sitting inside a restaurant got a scare and was sent to hospital after a vehicle smashed into a Saskatoon restaurant.

47-year-old driver given ticket for driving without due care and attention

A 19-year-old man sitting inside a restaurant got a scare and was sent to hospital after a vehicle smashed into a Saskatoon restaurant.

The vehicle jumped a curb at a restaurant on the 1800 block of McOrmond Drive at around 11:30 a.m. CST Wednesday.

The victim received non-life-threatening injuries in the accident.

Police say the motorist was a new driver and believe he hit the gas pedal by accident. The 47-year-old man has been given a ticket for driving without due care and attention.
