Medical emergency causes multi-vehicle crash in Saskatoon

A man was taken to hospital after his vehicle swerved out of control in Saskatoon on Tuesday night.

Police were called to the intersection of 8th Street E. and McKercher Drive at around 7:15 p.m. CST.

When they arrived, officers found a driver had suffered a heart attack, lost control and crashed into a light standard.

The driver then drove into the oncoming lanes and hit two vehicles driving northbound.

The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

No other injuries happened during the collision.
