Mobile home in Sutherland destroyed by fire

The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a call reporting flames coming from the home on the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue at about 6 p.m. CST Sunday.

A mobile home in the Sutherland neighbourhood of Saskatoon has been destroyed following a fire.

The Saskatoon Fire Department responded to a call reporting flames coming from the home on the 1500 block of Rayner Avenue at about 6 p.m. CST Sunday.

Firefighters said the floor had burned through and crews took defensive measures to protect nearby structures.

Damage is estimated at $75,000, the fire department said. Due to the significant damage to the structure, the cause of the fire is unknown.

The fire department said no one was home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
