Mosaic Stadium seats to be donated to arenas around Saskatchewan

Although this season marks the end of Regina's Mosaic Stadium,the seats thatserved Saskatchewan Roughriders fans will live on outside of the historic stadium.

The seats and structure in both end zones will be dismantled and donated to eight communities and organizations that applied to receive them.

The south end zone seats, suites and concourse will move to the GordieHowesports complex in Saskatoon.

Arenas in Naicam, Swift Current,Kamsack,LaFleche,Grenfell,Montmartreand the Saskatoon Soccer Centre will get the remainder of the seats.

In 2012, the Grey Cup Legacy Project was created to upgrade the stadium facilities in preparation to host the 101stGrey Cup game.

The $15-million project expanded the capacity of the stadium to over 33,000. The job added seats to the north and south end zones, as well as the addition of two new video boards.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders will move into new Mosaic Stadium in 2017.
