Police investigating death of 41-year-old man in Prince Albert

The Prince Albert Police Services Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Unit are investigating the death of a 41-year-old man.

The death of a 41-year-old man in Prince Albert has prompted a police investigation.

Officers were sent to a residence in the 300 block of 15th Street West, near the intersection of 2nd Avenue West and Highway 3 in the city, just before 1:30 a.m. CSTSaturday morning, according to a news release issued Saturday.

The officers found an injured man and, alongside Parkland Ambulance paramedics, provided "life saving measures" to him, according to the release. The man was sent to Victoria Hospital where he was declared dead.

The Prince Albert Police Service's Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Unit are expected to provide more information as their investigation continues.

An autopsy for the man is scheduled for Monday in Saskatoon.
