Rah Rah joins the ranks of Saskatchewan 2014 Juno nominees

Juno nominations are out and there are three nominations for this province.

Four Saskatchewan musicians found out this morning they're up for a2014 Juno Awards after thenomineeswere announced in Toronto.

Regina band Rah Rah is up for Alternative Album of the year. As soon as the announcement was made they took to Twitter.

"We're shocked and so excited!Truely honoured to have been nominated," the band tweeted.

Rah Rah has some steep competition in their category. The band is up against Arcade Fire which took home fourJunos for its last album in 2011.

Other Saskatchewan nominees include Little Miss Higgins for Best Roots and Traditional Album, for Aboriginal Album a nod goes to George Leach, andfather-son duo Kevin and Kane Churko for top Recording Engineer. This would be the second year in a row for the Churkos who took home the award last year in Regina.

Canadians will be all a buzz with performers for this years show. City and Colour, Tegan and Sara, Serena Ryder and Robin Thicke will all take the stage for the televised awards show.
