One of Saskatoon's most popular parties will return this year, but it will be in a different venue.

After years of being held at the Mendel Art Gallery, the Remai Modern will be hosting LUGO 2016 at the O'Brians Event Centre on April 16.

"I see LUGO as an extension of our live programming," said Remai executive director Gregory Burke in a news release. "It's an indication of the animated experiences you can expect at Remai Modern," Burke said.

The 7th annual LUGO will be using the theme of 'movement' this year. Party goers are asked to wear white or black clothing.

For the first time, the Remai Modern is offering a pre-party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., limited to 100 participants and featuring special food, beverages and performances.

The Remai plans to host LUGO at the art gallery once it opens in 2017.
