Remembrance Day ceremonies in Saskatoon
Events at SaskTel Centre start at 9 a.m.
The largest Remembrance Day ceremony in Saskatoon, and in fact one of the largest indoor services in the country,takes place at SaskTel Centre today.
The doors open at 9 a.m. and the choir will begin at9:25 a.m. The service, including a parade of 2,000 people, begins at10:25.There is accessible seating and free parking.
Getting to the service
Special buses will be deployed totake passengers to the event.
- Downtown special events stop at23rd Street and SecondAvenue will havebuses departing every 15 minutes between 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.
- Market Mall will have one bus which departs at 9:45 a.m.
- The Centre Mall will have one bus which departs at 9:45 a.m.
- Return trips start as soon as the ceremony is over.
- Individuals who use Access Transit will have free service to and from SaskTel Centre(regular booking procedures apply).

Montgomery Place
An 11:00 a.m.service will also take place at the cairn in Montgomery Place, the Saskatoonneighbourhood that was settled by veterans returning from the Second World War and the Korean War.
A coffee reception willfollow in St. David's Trinity Church Lower Hall.
U of S service
Later today, at 1:30 p.m. a service will be held at the Memorial Gates on campus. It will be hosted by the Multi-Faith Chaplains Association at the U of S. University presidentPeter Stoicheff and Lutheran Chaplain Paul Sartison will also speak at the service.
The gates were erected in 1928 to commemorate the69 students, faculty and staff of the U of S who died in the First World War.
