Royal Wood added to lineup for Saskatchewan Jazz Festival

The Saskatchewan Jazz Festival has announced a veteran festival performer to its summer lineup: Royal Wood.

Wood will be taking the stage on opening night on June 24 at the Broadway Theatre at 8 p.m. CST. He played sold-out shows during the festival back in 2013 and 2014. This year, Crestwood with Theresa Sokyrka will be taking the stage to open for Wood.

Also added to the list of artists are Joe Lovano, with his Classic Quartet. The Grammy award-winner will be playing at the Broadway theatre with opener the Don Griffith Trio on July 2 at the Broadway Theatre.

Ellington's Sacred Concert with Dee Daniels and Fred Stride, the Jacky Terrasson Trio, and Corey Harris are also added to the list.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. CST on Tuesday, March22.
