Saskatchewan forest fire evacuees split from families

Kaylie Janvier was separated from her family after shewas forced to leave her home in northern Saskatchewan because of forest fires in the area.

TheLa Loche residentis now living ina Prince Albert shelter, while her family isstaying at one in Saskatoon. She's hoping to head home soon.

"I feel lost.[I'm]missing my parents and my family," she said.

The Red Cross has a telephonenumber people can call if they have been separated from family members due to evacuation orders.People can call the Red Cross at1-888-953-3463.

There are51 communities with evacuations. More than5,000 people are currently registered with Social Services and the Red Cross.
