3rd teen charged with 2nd-degree murder in Saskatoon death of another teen

Police say the third teenager was arrested without incident after he turned himself in on Wednesday afternoon.

Three teenage boys have beencharged withsecond-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another teen on Nov 2.

Initially,two boys, one 15 and the other 17,were arrested in Saskatoon on Wednesdayafter police executed search warrants at three residences over the past 24 hours. Later, on Wednesday afternoon, police say a third teenager, a 15-year-old male, was also chargedafter he turned himself into police earlier in the day.

The victim, who police said was also 15, went to Holy Cross High School in Saskatoon. The school is only a few hundred metres from where the teen died.

The 15-year-old suspect appeared in youth court Wednesday afternoon and is accused of shooting the victim with a long-barrelled rifle.

The teen is also accused of breaching the conditions of an earlier youth sentence, specifically that he keep the peace and do not possess a firearm.

He's back in youth court Thursday.

The other teen,17, was arrested later that day and wasscheduled to appear before a justice of the peace later Wednesday evening.

Witnesses told CBC that the victim staggered into the ATM vestibule of TCU Financial Group at 2311 Arlington Avenue just before noon Nov. 2. He collapsed in the lobby and died shortly after police and paramedics arrived.

Police said Wednesday that an autopsy had found the victim died of a gunshot wound.

Investigators do not believe the incident was random.
