Saskatoon bus riders want better service after lockout

A group speaking for Saskatoon bus riders wants impovements to the service after the lockout.

Challenges city to improve frequence, reliability

A group speaking for Saskatoon bus riders says ending the transit lockout is a good first step but now the real work begins.

It's calling on the city to improve the service.

"Bus riding should be easy," said SarinaGersherof Bus Riders of Saskatoon.

"It should be frequent and reliable."

The group wantsintervals shortenedwith buses arriving every 15 minutes, not at the current half hour and hourly pace.

And it wants the connections tightened so that the transition from route to route happens on time.

It's doing a flyer blitz Friday between noon and1 p.m. CST at the downtown terminal.
