Saskatoon Hilltops take 19th national title in 37-25 Canadian Bowl win

This is the 19th time the team has won the national title, and its third consecutive championship.

The Saskatoon Hilltops won their 19th title in the Canadian Junior Football League Saturday with a 37-25 win over the Westshore Rebels in Victoria, B.C. (Saskatoon Hilltops/Twitter)

The Saskatoon Hilltops are national champions once again.

The Hilltops beat the Westshore Rebels 37-25 in the Canadian Bowl Championship Game Saturday night at Westhills Stadium in Victoria, B.C.

The game was a rematch of the 2003 final when the Hilltops beat the Rebels 59-0.

This is the 19th time the team has won the national title, and its third consecutive championship win.

This is alsothe Hilltops'third time winning three consecutive titles.

The win comes just a week and a half after the Hilltops were mired in controversy when one of the team's players needed medical attention after he was taped to a pole and lost consciousness.

Two other teammates were suspended indefinitely.
