Saskatoon police investigating second homicide in 24 hours

An injured man was found this morning in an apartment on the 200 block of Avenue V S. Police say his death is not related to another homicide on Friday.

Police in Saskatoon are investigating a homicide on Saturday, less than 24 hours after anotherhomicide was reported late Friday night.

At about 10:40 a.m. CST on Saturday, police and emergency medicalservices responded to an apartment on the 200 block of Avenue V S.

An injured male was found andrushed to hospital. He died from his injuries.

Police say the deathis not related to ahomicide reported 12 hours earlier on Friday night, when policefound an injured man in the hallway of an apartment building on the 200 block of 5th Avenue N. He also died from his injuries.

The Saskatoon Police Service's major crime section and forensic identification unit are both investigating the latest death. They are also working with the Officeof the Chief Coroner.
