Fentanyl trafficking charges laid after Saskatoon police see suspected parking lot drug deal

Three men are facing fentanyl-related charges following an alleged parking lot drug deal.

Saskatoon police charged three men and seized fentanylpills on Dec. 22, after investigators saw what is allegedto have been a parking lot drug deal.

Police initially arrested two men, ages 53 and 31, in aparking lot on the 1500 block of Eight Street East.

The older man had more than $1,500 in cash, while the other hada fentanyl pill. A pick-up truck was seized.

Later in the day, a search warrant was executed at a residence onthe 2000 block of Wilson Crescent.

Police found 55 more fentanyl pills, a cocaine press, 16 diazepam pills andother drug paraphernalia.

Another man, 36, was arrested at the home.

Two of the men,53 and 36,are charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking fentanyl.

The 53-year-old is also facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking diazepam and possession of the proceeds of crime.

The 31-year-old is facing a charge of possession of fentanyl.
