Saskatoon teen escapes custody from Kilburn Hall

A 16-year-old is back in custody after taking off from the Kilburn Hall youth detention facility on Wednesday.

Arrested after 30 minutes on the loose

A teen is back in custody after a brief dash to freedom Wednesday in Saskatoon.

The 16-year-old tookoff from open custody at KilburnHall. According to police, the teen took off running from the centre in the east-side Buena Vista neighbourhoodat 4:42 p.m. CST.

It took police about half an hour to re-capture the youth.

There were no injuries. He'll be back in court today.
