Surveillance stepped up on Saskatoon chapter of Hells Angels

Police are keeping a close eye on the Hells Angels after a dispute with a local business owner went public.

Saskatoon police said they're keeping an eye on the Hells Angels after a dispute with a local business owner went public.

Leonard Banga, owner ofXtreme Mining and Demolition, had employed members from the local chapter until hefired them.

"We're aware that members of the Hells Angels were employed and worked for Xtreme Mining," Saskatoon Police Service inspector Jerome Engele said.

"Police became involved in an investigation and a person has been charged with threats to cause death."

Police keep close tabs on Hells Angels members. Last year, the motorcycle club hosted a rally for national chapters and police were a visible presence through the entire event.

Engele said local members workfor a variety ofmining and construction companies.
