Swift Current, Sask., area death now being treated as a homicide

RCMP are treating a suspicious death as a homicide.

At about 10:30 a.m. CST Thursday morning, Swift Current Rural RCMP responded to a tip about an unresponsive man in a rural area north of the city and east of Highway 4.

21-year-old Logan Curtis Ring was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ring's body was found in the parking lot of the "Rings, Ruts and Remnants Interpretive Trail" in the Saskatchewan Landing Provincial Park, on the south shore of Lake Diefenbaker, just off Hwy #4.

He was found near his blue 1991 Ford Explorer.

Police would like to talk to anyone who saw traffic driving in and out of the park and parking lot between Monday and Thursday, as well as anyone who knows about Logan Ring's activities prior to his death..

Swift Current Rural RCMP, Major Crimes Unit South, RCMP Forensic Identification Section and the Office of the Chief Coroner are investigating.
