4 pizza delivery drivers robbed over weekend in Saskatoon

It was a bad weekend to be a pizza delivery driver in Saskatoon.

It was a bad weekend to be a pizza deliverer in Saskatoon.

Police responded to four different robbery calls of pizza delivery drivers over the weekend, scattered all across the city.

The first robbery took place early Saturday morning on the 400 block of Pendygrasse Road.As the driver got out of his car, he saw two people armed with a bat and a tire iron. They demanded cash, and the driver fled.

Police say both of the suspects are between 18 to 20 years old, and both had their faces covered.

The next robbery happened late Saturday night on the 900 block of Victoria Ave. A driver was assaulted with a bat and robbed.

The third robbery happened Sunday, at about 4:30 p.m. CST on the 700 block of Labine Cres. Another driver was robbed by two people armed with a bat and a pipe wrench.

Finally, early Monday morning, another driver was robbed by two people armed with a bat and a steel rod on the 700 block of Heritage Lane. Police tried to track the suspects with the K-9 unit, but couldn't find them.

Police are investigating, and asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers.
