Driver charged after 3-vehicle collision in Saskatoon

The driver of a left-turning vehicle has been charged after a three-vehicle collision in Saskatoon on Monday.

The driver of a left-turning vehicle has been charged after a three-vehicle collision in Saskatoon on Monday.

The crash happened at theintersection of 22nd Street W. and Avenue P at about 2:40 p.m. CST.

Police said the vehicle was attempting to turn left from 22nd Street onto Avenue P when it hit a vehicle travelling eastbound.

Injuries from the crash were described as minor and police said those involved were treated by MD Ambulance and released at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle turning left has been charged with failing to yield to an approaching vehicle while turning left under the Traffic Safety Act.

While police had asked drivers to avoid the area shortly after the crash occurred, traffic was flowing normally again by 4:45 p.m.
