1 dead after 2 semi-trucks collide along Highway 1 in southeast Saskatchewan

RCMP confirmed that one person died Monday morning after a collisionbetween two semi-trailersnearWolseley, Sask., about 100 kilometres east of Regina.

RCMP confirmed that one person died Monday morning after a collisionbetween two semi-trailersnearWolseley, Sask., about 100 kilometres east of Regina.

Police restricted traffic on Highway 1 in the aftermath of the crash. According to theHighway Hotline, the crash happened near Highway 617 just before 8 a.m. CST. As of Tuesdaymorning the highway had reopened.

Photos and videos shared by trucking groups on social media show heavy damage to a truck that rammed into another trailer. Debris can be seen scattered on the road.

RCMPconfirmed to CBC News Monday that one person had died.
