Mary-Ellen Turmel Lafond, the B.C. child watchdog, says a little girl who was transferred to Saskatchewan, fell through the cracks unnecessarily.

A B.C. child watchdog saida two-year-oldgirl, who was transferred to Saskatchewan, fell through the cracks.

MaryEllen Turpel-Lafond,B.C.'s representative for children and youth,spoke withSaskatoon Morning host Leisha Grebinski about how the child ended-up in the care of her grandfather despite his lengthy criminal record and addiction.

The girl was thin and malnourished when she was taken away 18-months later.
