Sudbury readers dig into Canada Reads book finalists
CBC's annual battle of the books is just around the corner!
Five Sudburyreaders all connected with the Greater Sudbury library have read and reflected onthe books that are in contention to win top spot in CBC's Canada Reads 2016.

- Tammy Deamicishas readBirdie by Tracey Lindberg.
- Anna Slusarczyk has readThe Illegalby Lawrence Hill.
- Marley Laurohas read Bone and Bread by Saleema Nawaz.
Starting March 14-18, tune into Morning North at8:10 a.m. to hear a new reader each day speak about herbook, how itrelates to herlifeand the themeof Starting Over.
These Sudbury readers are part of a larger national contest that features debates on the books.
TheCanadaReadsdebates take placeMarch 21-24on CBC- TV, CBC Radio One, and online atcbcbooks.ca. Hosted byGill Deacon,CanadaReads2016 is all about "starting over." Fivepanellists Adam Copeland, Clara Hughes, Bruce Poon, VinayVirmani and FarahMohamedhave chosen theCanadianbooks theyfeel best represent the trials and tribulations of making a new start in life, and will rigorously defend their choices.
