Doug Nadorozny, Sudbury's chief administration officer, no longer with city

Sudbury's chief administration officer Doug Nadorozny has left his job with the city after six years.

His post will be temporarilyfilled "on a rotational basis" with human resources director Kevin Fowke taking the first shift as interim CAO.

Mayor Brian Bigger said little about the departure in an interview with CBC News Wednesday morning, except to say it was a surprise.

When asked if Nadorozny gave any reason for leaving the city, Bigger said,"I can't get into HR matters, but we wish him well."

Bigger served as Sudbury's auditor generalunder Nadoroznyfor five years.

AfterBigger was elected mayor late last year, Nadorozny expressed concern at council meetings about the plan to freeze taxes.

Bigger said Wednesday he had a "professional, business relationship" with Nadorozny.

Nadoroznyhas been employed by the city since 1999 and was appointed CAO in May of 2009. The city will strike a recruitment committee to find a replacement.
