2 men stabbed during altercation in downtown Sudbury

Two men were stabbed in downtown Sudbury, Ont., early Monday morning and transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Two men were stabbed in downtown Sudbury, Ont., early Monday morning and were takento hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

In a newsrelease, Greater Sudbury police said officers found the men near the corner of Elgin and Nelson streets at around 3 a.m. ET.

Based on the investigation so far, police say they believe the 37- and 43-year-old men were in altercation with another group and were both stabbed.

Police say they have not yet identified the group involved in the altercation.
