Sudbury police issue charges for impaired driving, failure to remain

Greater Sudbury Police Service have charged a man with impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of a June 15 accident.

The driver drove over a lawn and hit a parked car in Chelmsford, then fled to Sudbury

Greater Sudbury Police Service have charged a manwith impaired driving and failure to remain at the scene of a June 15 accident.

At 10:30 p.m., a white Ford pickup truck drove over the lawn of a Chelmsford resident, and then struck a parked vehicle, causing major damage.

The driver then fled, but was spotted driving erratically down Lorne Streetin Sudbury.

Police caught up with the vehicle on Regent Street,where the driver provided breath samples,which werein excess of two times the legal limit for alcohol.

He was then issued a 90-day driver'slicence suspension and was released with a court date.
