A man's body has been recovered on Lake Nipissing today, about 12 hours after a boat crash.

A man's body has been recovered on Lake Nipissing today, about 12 hours after a boat crash.

The Ontario Provincial Police say that four adults were operating "a small watercraft" that struck a rock late on Saturday night. The crash ejected two people from the boat the operator and a passenger.

Some local home owners heard calls for help and attended the scene, police say.

Three women were taken back to shore. They were all treated for shock and one was taken to hospital.

The operator could not be found.

None of the people on board were wearing life jackets at the time of the crash.

At 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, the OPP reported that the body of the missing man had been recovered.

Later Sunday, police issued a news release identifying the deceased as Eric Levac, 32, of Lavigne, Ont.

The crash remains under investigation.
