Sudbury police arrest an 81-year-old man for harassing a city councillor

Sudbury police have arrested and charged an 81-year-old man for harassing a city councillor.

Police say the man went to the councillors home, which caused them to fear for their safety

Sudbury police have arrested and charged an 81-year-old man for harassing a city councillor.

In a press release, police said the harassment started in 2022 and continued in 2023 and 2024.

They said the harassment escalated to the point where the man went to the councillor's home, causing them to fear for their safety.

The man was arrested on May 21 and was released on an undertaking with a court date on June 19.

Police have not named the 81-year-old man or the councillor.
