North Bay police on lookout for poppy box thief

On the heels of several high profile robberies in southern Ontario, a thief in the northeast made two attempts to steal a poppy fund box over the weekend.

On the heels of several high profile robberies in southern Ontario, a thief in the northeast made two attempts to steal a poppy fund box over the weekend.

Two different North Bay convenience stores were hit on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

North Bay police said they believe both robberies were attempted by the same suspect.

The suspect is described as a tall, thin, unshaven man wearing a black hoodie, black ball cap and blue jeans.
