Meeting dates set for schools under review by Sudbury's Rainbow Board

The Rainbow District School Board has announced dates for its accommodation reviews, where the future of more than a dozen schools in Sudbury and area will be discussed.

Last year the board drew on reserves to balance its budget,citing decreased enrolment and provincial funding as the main reasons for the shortfall.

"There is an immediate need to find more than $3.6 million in annual operating savings to offset the provincial reduction in revenue," said director of education Norm Blaseg.

Accommodation reviews are open to the public. Members of the community can obtain information and provide input as part of the accommodation review process.
