The newly-formed Greater Sudbury Taxpayer's Association is calling for the resignation of the city's top bureaucrat.

The fledgling citizen's group blames chief administrative officer Doug Nadorozny for the loss of half a million dollars in taxpayers money.

A new report from Sudbury's Auditor General deals with a private contractor who ran a kiosk in the city's downtown bus station.

According to the report, the company sold bus tickets on behalf of the municipality, but failed to give the city its share of the revenue.

The report also says that several city employees were aware of the missing money and did nothing about it.

At the time, Nadorozny was a department manager overseeing Sudbury Transit.

City councillors are set to the discuss the audit report tomorrow afternoon.
