Thomas Richey, New York snowmobiler, dies in Burk's Falls crash

Police in the Burks Falls area are investigating a second fatal snowmobile crash this week.

Police in the Burks Falls area are investigating a second fatal snowmobile crash this week.

The Almaguin Highlands OPPreport 49-year-old Thomas Richey of Tonawanda, N.Y., lost control of his snowmobile on a groomed and sanctioned trail Wednesday in Laurier Township.

He then collided with a snowmobile travelling in the other direction, and was ejected from his sled.

A post mortem was scheduled for today.
