A COVID-19 outbreak at Thunder Bay's Hogarth Riverview Manor has been declared over.

The outbreak was declared on May 2, when one staff member at the long-term care facility tested positive for COVID-19.

However, there have been no new cases of COVID-19 in other staff members, or residents, at Hogarth Riverview Manorsince the outbreak was declared, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit and St. Joseph's Care Group, which runs Hogarth, stated Friday in a media release.

Provincial policy states an outbreak must be declared if one staff member or resident in a long-term care home tests positive for COVID-19.
