Firefighters free driver after Thunder Bay Expressway crash

Paramedics took a woman to hospital after a collision late Wednesdaymorning on theThunder Bay Expressway.

The 20-year-old wasin a car that went out of control and struck a light pole between Arthur Street and the Harbour Expressway.The impact caused the light standard to crash to the ground.

Firefighters used extrication gear to free the woman from the vehicle.

She was taken to hospital, as a precaution, to be checked over.
